Frequently Asked Questions
Why work with GVES?
We are qualified and competent Registered Energy Advisors and HVAC technicians. We can do more than just check boxes and supply reports. Ask us questions, you will get answers. We enjoy what we do and look forward to challenges.
Why air balance a HVAC system?
Moving air is incredibly tricky to measure accurately. Only with high quality, specialized equipment is it possible to accurately measure air flows. Rooms of different sizes and uses require different volumes of air to ensure occupant comfort. HVAC systems are designed to work at specified air volumes. A system working outside of design parameters is not as efficient.
How much does an Energy Audit / Energy Evaluation cost for the Canada Greener Homes Grant Program in Victoria BC.
For the Greater Victoria area single family homes typically cost $600 for the pre-retrofit evaluation and $300 for the post-retrofit evaluation. For homes larger than 3000 square feet or homes that require a second blower door test additional charges may apply.
